It's an awful thing to say, but its true! There are different problems that our county is facing right now. But let's focus on the Music Industries here in the Philippines.
The problem is whats happening to our county music industries and why did it fall in the "DARK ZONE"?
The very first factor is we don't support our local artist even if we know that they are FILIPINOS.
Secondly there are no GOOD artist in our country that can produce GOOD Electronic music(Digital music).
Let's face the truth. We all know that we can produce good music. BUT our county needs NEW and ELECTRONIC base songs coz we are now facing the NEW era of the music industries.
The era of POP culture , The era that's shape the new term of music(electronic/digital).
Internationally speaking, as we can see on the Billboard top 100, some of the best selling songs and most well know artist are in this Era(pop culture). Like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and some bands like Black Eye Peas they hit the Chart and they rock our world because they now that today is the Era OF electronic music. People are craving for pop music! and they understand that.
Also we can see the word "imitation" of the Ppop to the famous Kpop.
"P-Pop will be better if they'll have some originality so fans can [also] stop comparing it with K-Pop"  >Clarisse Fulla<
For some, the emergence of sing and dance P-Pop groups like XLR8 and
Pop Girls seems to have downgraded the local music industry even more. So please "Stop Imitation". Let's make our own!
One of the main Problems is our media here in the Philippines. They don't promote OPM music and they don't care even if they know that its tearing apart.
The lack of media support/promotion creates the bounders to the Artist and there songs. The radio shows that don't play OPM music even if its in our law. The different conversation of criticisms of our own music kills the industries. Large scale of illegal downloads. The colonial and crab mentality (that Filipinos are best at)  that deeply affect our nation from the very vain to its nerves.
Lastly the lack of help from the GOVERNMENT itself.
So let's act, let's stop colonial/crab mentality...... find ways to create and not imitate music.Support OPM is the only way to make us rise from the DARK ZONE!
They said the Original Pinoy Music will hit this 2011 by the Albums and Songs of Different artist like Chelo Aestrid's hit single PINAY RISE
She is the best pop artist here in the LAND of pearls!
see it here!
And the Well known Artist today that hit the MIX Chart at # 1 Rez Toledo.
They are the most promising artist of 2011. So Let's Support this artists so that 2011 will be the year of PINOY POP CULTURE what more can i say its the Year of US! ^^,! ..

Nah. Amber Davis has been producing club/electronic music since the early 2000. It;s just that Filipinos do not take notice of her and she does not get airplay.
TumugonBurahinAmber is seriously overrated. Not does she has produced songs AHEAD of the time but she ahs voice and she's one of the FEW artists in the world who can make pop-dance music with SENSIBLE lyrics
I mean UNDERRATED
TumugonBurahinBy large, I think Filipinos do have colonial mentality. Anything locally produced is by default labeled as "baduy". This is a lot true with the new generation of teenagers
